What’s this blog about? Seems shade-y. ðŸ˜Ž

keen [ˈkēn] (adj.)

  1. Having or showing eagerness or enthusiasm.
  2. (of a sense) highly developed; having or showing great perception or insight.

When you’re “keen” on something, you’re really into it — and I’m really into colors.

Wait. If you’re a blog about colors…

That’s a keen observation. The design of this site is intentionally bare! Since white is the absence of color, it provides a natural, clutter-free contrast for all the bright eye candy we’ll be sharing.

It also represents the unlimited potential of a blank piece of paper. Remember the childhood pleasure of having nothing in front of you but a clean white page, a mess of colored pencils, and an afternoon to see where creativity took you?

Maybe you still indulge in that delight on a regular basis. Maybe you’ve replaced it with virtually hoarding color palettes and nail polish swatches on Pinterest boards (raises hand). Maybe you spend your days experimenting with inorganic pigments in a cosmetics lab, or explaining the psychology of color to design clients.

Whatever the case, I hope you make this your regular stop for a chromatic fix. Posts will range from fun features to informative breakdowns. Together, we’ll boost our knowledge about the science of color, historical and pop cultural significance, linguistic origins, and more.

Thanks so much for visiting — it’s great to have you here!
